COVID-19: Motivair to Continue Operations

UPDATE: New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo on March 20 ordered all nonessential New York workers to stay home. This however excludes businesses that are deemed “Essential.” Motivair will continue operations as it is deemed essential by New York State.

Motivair is intimately involved in cooling many aspects of our Nation’s most critical infrastructure including Nuclear Power Plants, Power Stations, Hospitals, Oxygen Generation Equipment, MRI’s and High-Performance Computers and Supercomputers.

Motivair is deemed by the State of New York to be “Essential” and based on that will continue to operate using guidelines provided by the CDC to mitigate risk to our employees and help prevent the spread of COVID 19.

We will continue to monitor the global situation and act as needed to keep our people, customers and partners safe and healthy.

With the continued spread of COVID-19, the safety and well-being of our communities is our top priority.

We wanted to take the time to update you on the new policies and procedures we have started to protect our Motivair employees, our customers and the facilities where we provide world-class services and cool critical businesses and infrastructure.

This is a fast-moving issue impacting events worldwide. More important, it is impacting people. Our colleagues’ and clients' safety are our top priority.

We have been implementing contingency plans with our local service teams and our suppliers to mitigate risk to current projects while maintaining the health and safety of our employees.

Steps We’ve Taken

We continue to monitor the global coronavirus situation and act as needed to keep our people, customers and partners safe and healthy.

  • All office employees have transitioned to virtual work environments, allowing for a seamless transition of service for all accounts for customer and partner meetings.
  • Motivair production has transitioned to two separate shifts, allowing us to continue meeting demand while mitigating risk.
  • We have implemented new visitor policies prohibiting visits from all outside vendors, people who have traveled to high-risk areas or those exhibiting acute respiratory symptoms. Our employees follow those guidelines as well.
  • Anyone who has traveled to a high-risk area, has had suspected contact with a person who is infected or is symptomatic is asked to stay home and self-quarantine for 14 days before returning to company or customer sites.
  • We have implemented additional safety measures including enhanced cleaning procedures and screenings, and communications on hand washing and other preventive measures.
