Position Summary

This position is responsible for deploying and developing the commodity strategy for its assigned commodities. The role of the Commodity Buyer is to manage relationships / negotiation with suppliers, pilot the utilization of supplier panel in programs and series production during sourcing, and ensure supplier performance.

Manages invoice to pay process by ensuring 1) Pay Terms are accurate and 2) Release of payments 3) Resolving any discrepant matters preventing payment.

Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or engineering preferred.

Position Summary

The Assembly Technician – Level 2 will be responsible for assembling electro-mechanical components and products according to engineering drawings and specifications.  This position will use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as measuring instruments to ensure that the products meet all quality standards.  This position will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.

Position Summary

The Application Engineer I is responsible for supporting the Engineering and sale of a wide range of custom Data Center Thermal Solutions and related cooling systems.  The support provided includes the development of new products, pre-sale technical support, answering product application inquiries, and quality control.  This role has a strong impact on the success of the Data Center Cooling Systems business and requires an engineering background with knowledge in thermodynamic, electrical, and industrial controls principles.

Resource Coordinator/Dispatcher

Position Summary

The Client Services Resource Coordinator is a key member of the service operations function.  This non-technical role serves the group as the primary focal point for dispatching internal and external personnel to execute service delivery. This role also plays a critical role in ensuring fiscal alignment between 3rd-party services provider quotes/invoices, Motivair purchase orders and services reports.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Receives requests from Installation and Support personnel and based upon the scope of work (SOW), identifies internal and/or external resources to assign to tasks.  

Uses discretion and judgment to determine task assignment.  

Creates request for quote (RFQ) documentation and issues to qualified 3rd-Party Services Providers.

Receives related Service Reports following execution and reconciles against the initial SOW, any purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy in billing.

Maintains accurate documentation/records within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool called Acumatica.

Works directly with Accounts Receivable and Payable to ensure timely processing of customer invoices and payments to 3rd party service partners.  

Captures and submits feedback from customers for monthly Quality Management System (QMS) management meetings. (Utilizing the Survey Monkey tool)

Coordinates service department process improvement initiatives, such as, training, content management, intranet up-keep, QMS support, etc.

Technical Support Specialist

Position Summary

This position will be responsible for providing onsite technical services to Customers in support of Mission Critical Cooling Systems.  The Field Tech Support Specialist will execute the delivery of installation, startup, commissioning support, remedial and preventative maintenance (PM) services.  

Duties and Responsibilities 

Participates in system deployment project for established service area, by delivering installation, startup and/or commissioning support services.

Provides onsite support by assisting in fault isolation of electro-mechanical systems.

Identifies necessary parts to resolve customer equipment failures.

Responds onsite to dispatches, within required timeframe as specified in customer service level agreements (SLAs), for scheduled and unscheduled services requests.

Sr. Manager, Deployment Services PMO

This position leads the Deployment Services PMO function made up of Project Managers and associated resources.  Serves as a Project Manager executing Deployment Services on large/complex orders for key strategic customers.  The position is also an extension of the cross-functional Enterprise PMO at Motivair.

Develops and implements a standardized set of Deployment Project Management (DPM) processes and procedures.

Creates project cost models to ensure the most effective Professional Services pricing can be provided to the sales teams.  

Manages technical and other related activities in support of system Installation and Deployment and serves as key project resource to ensure solutions sold to customers meet requirements as designed and intended.  

Oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of projects with 3rd-party Service Delivery Partners from installation to commissioning.

Develops and manages project schedules, ensuring deployment of services align with delivery schedules.  Ensures 3rd-party quotes are in line with internal and customer expectations.

Collaborates with internal engineers, and 3rd-parties to ensure project expectations and scope are met and design intent is maintained.

Monitors onsite progress (remotely), identifies potential issues, and implements corrective measures as needed.

Manages project budgets, tracking expenses, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to optimize costs.

Communicates effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and addressing any concerns.

Leads and motivates project teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Resolves conflicts and challenges that may arise during the installation, startup and commissioning processes, implementing solutions to keep the project on track.

Evaluates and selects subcontractors based on their qualifications and performance.

Position Qualifications

Education from a two-year college/technical school preferred; or equivalent combination of education and leadership experience to successfully execute the role.

5+ years of related proven experience as a Project Manager required, demonstrating successful completion of diverse projects.

Experience working in Data Center environments required.

Successful track record of delivering Systems and Deployment Services within Motivair’s key strategic customer environments such as High Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence, Networking and HPC Storage.

Customer Support Specialist

Position Summary

The Customer Support Specialist supports all aspects of the Technical Support Team functions.  This position will assist in maintaining day-to-day operations of the department.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Answers all inbound service calls transferred from Call Center for existing cases.

Develops and maintains inbound call reports for Customer Response Center (CRC) in Lancaster and for the 24x7 Global Call Center.

Assists team with updating Acumatica (CRM/ERP) with information related to Service Contracts, Equipment, SLAs/Entitlements and customer/portal users.

Monitors Service Team’s email inbox to create new cases and/or respond to manual requests.

Completes order management steps to ensure timely processing of customer orders.  

Validates that customer orders align with parts quotes and terms and conditions.

Ensures the customers are not on credit hold prior to processing orders or receiving technical support.

Submits parts replenishment requests for (Critical Spare Parts Kit) CSPK consumption at customer sites.

Follows up with Supply Chain, Logistics and Production regarding open Service Parts Orders and their statuses.

Monitor RR/RC processing progress with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure timely resolution, sending regular status reports to the Customer Service Leader.

Supports the team of Technical Support Specialists as needed for timely customer responses and case resolution.

Assists sales team with miscellaneous requests often with little or no notice.

Completes additional tasks as assigned.

Position Summary

The Executive Assistant works as a trusted resource to provide high-level administrative support to the President and other members of the senior leadership team. This take-charge individual organizes all aspects of the President’s work including calendar, travel, meetings, presentations, communications, and business activities. The position also assists with client and relationship responsibilities including managing vendor and client relations and assisting with communication and planning among various stakeholders. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Plans, maintains, and coordinates the President’s calendar, and ensures schedule is followed and respected.  Takes appropriate action when internal and external scheduling conflicts occur. Assists in scheduling for other senior leaders.

Operates at the highest level of confidentiality regarding personnel and financial matters, managing unique situations with discretion.

Coordinates travel arrangements in a detailed and proactive manner, monitoring for changes and travel disruptions.

Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming and urgent issues and concerns with e-mail, including those of sensitive or confidential nature to allow for focused decision-making.

Material Handling Associate

Position Summary

The Material Handling Associate is accountable for tasks including receiving into the ERP system, relocation, and storage of materials, as well as the tracking of inventory and the execution of quality assessments. Material handlers employ equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to transfer materials from one storage area to another. Their duties encompass guaranteeing that materials are stored correctly, keeping precise inventory records, and scrutinizing incoming materials for any signs of damage. The role of a material handler is pivotal in ensuring the timely availability of materials and the punctual shipment of products at the prescribed quality standards.


Duties and Responsibilities 

Tags all parts correctly, verifying quantities and part numbers.

Confirming paperwork and certifications are received and information is properly stored in ERP.

Route parts to the correct location per instructions on the traveler

Verifies that all paperwork is provided (packing lists, etc.).

Adhere to shipping standards provided by the applicable Sales Director or designee.

Clarify shipment method (UPS, FedEx, LTL, Dedicated, etc.)

Carefully pack all products, adhering to any standards/requests from customer or requestor.

Must be able to provide great customer service by responding to customer / sales manager tracking inquiries and freight quote requests (via email & phone).

Processes internal parts to their next operation or storage location

Creates bin locations for incoming goods and arranges parts accordingly.

Prepares kits and deliver goods as requested by the incoming department.

Stages large items in their proper location.

Participates in cycle count process and ensuring stock adjustments are properly approved and executed in ERP.

Maintains, organizes, and cleans work area compliant with 6S Standards.

Frequently removes debris from work cells and logistics area and dispose accordingly.

Works well in a collaborative team environment.

Ability to organize and execute multiple tasks and priorities with little supervision.

May need to travel between different locations in the Buffalo area.
