Assembly Technician – Level 2
Position Summary
Department: Production 
Reports To:  Production and Facilities Manager
Status: Full-time/non-exempt 
The salary range for the Assembly Technician 2 position is $24.00 - $28.00 per hour.

The Assembly Technician – Level 2 will be responsible for assembling electro-mechanical components and products according to engineering drawings and specifications.  This position will use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as measuring instruments to ensure that the products meet all quality standards.  This position will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities 
Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
Assembles electro-mechanical components and sub-assemblies using hand tools and power tools.
Performs quality control checks on assembled components.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Performs preliminary and / or final packaging of components and final products.
Maintains a clean and organized work area compliant with 6S standards.
Follows all safety procedures.
Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
Position Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical certificate / degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong safety awareness.
Physical Requirements/Abilities (If necessary)
Position requires good manual dexterity, fine motor skills, visual acuity, spatial awareness, proficiency in using hand tools and equipment.  This position may require lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged periods of standing, and occasional bending or squatting. Candidates should be able to comfortably perform physical tasks associated with the role, ensuring a safe and productive work environment. 

Assembly Technician / HVAC – Level 3

Position Summary

Status: Full Time, non-exempt
The salary range for the Assembly Technician 3 - HVAC position is $26.00 - $31.00 per hour.


The Assembly Technician – Level 3 will be responsible for assembling and testing electro–mechanical components and products according to engineering drawings and specifications and conduct functional tests and performance checks to ensure proper operation and functionality.  This position will identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions through troubleshooting techniques.  The person in this role will use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as measuring instruments to ensure that the products meet all quality standards. This position will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and be able to work independently and as part of a team.


Duties and Responsibilities

Position Qualifications


High school diploma or equivalent required.

HVAC/R or college/trade school certification or electrical and/or mechanical technology preferred.

5+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration equipment and applications preferred.

The Assembly Technician role requires good manual dexterity, physical strength for lifting and carrying heavy parts up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, fine motor skills, visual acuity, spatial awareness, physical stamina, proficiency in using hand tools and equipment, and safety awareness to perform tasks accurately and safely.


Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Summary

Department: Finance 

Reports To: Controller

Status: [Full time, hourly]

The salary range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00 per hour.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the compiling, processing, and maintenance of accounts payable records.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Receives, reviews, and processes invoices from vendors and suppliers. 

Verifies the accuracy of invoices, including matching them to purchase orders and receipts. 

Ensures all necessary approvals are obtained before processing invoices for payment. 

Resolves discrepancies or issues related to invoices and escalates as necessary.

Processes employee expense reports, verifying receipts and adherence to company expense policies.

Ensures that expense reports are accurately coded and approved before processing reimbursement.

Prepares and schedules payments for approved invoices using various payment methods (check, wire transfer, etc.). 

Coordinates with the finance team to ensure proper allocation of expenses and account coding.

Maintains accurate records of payment transactions and related documentation.

Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting regulations.

Maintains organized and up-to-date records of invoices, payments, and related documentation. 

Manages the reimbursement and reconciliation process of company cards.

Completes special projects as assigned, examples would include but are not limited to vendor reviews, admin support and organization.

Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

2 – 5 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficient user of MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook required.

Experience with ERP systems required. 

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to problem solve complex invoicing issues with team members and management.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Ability to interface well with vendors and other departments.

Proficient written and verbal English communication skills.

Industrial Quality Engineer

Position Title: Industrial Quality Engineer
Department: Quality
Reports To: Quality Assurance Systems Manager
Status: Full Time On-site - exempt

The salary range for this position is $70,000 -  $85,000

As a Motivair Quality Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating and improving electro-mechanical assemblies and products, as well as overseeing the implementation of quality assurance processes throughout the product lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Quality Assurance:  Ensures that products meet industry standards and customer specifications. Work with quality and production personnel to implement quality assurance and maintain ISO9001:2015 compliance. Develop quality metrics and associated data collection systems. 

Process Auditing: Conducts process audits to assess adherence to quality procedures, process controls, industry standards, and best practices. Recommends changes based on findings and perform follow up verification.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control activities, testing results, and corrective actions. Assist with creation and upkeep of Process Documents – including Flow Diagrams, FMEA’s, and Test Plans.

Technical Writing: Provides support to Production and Engineering in establishing and maintaining detailed work instructions, manuals, and prints.

Root Cause Analysis: Utilizes problem-solving skills and advanced analytical techniques to identify the root causes of quality issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, assess countermeasures, and implement corrective actions.

Product reliability: Collects external data and internal test results to support engineering and provide input into the product reliability program.  Recommend process and component improvements based on risk and cost analyses. 

Supplier Quality: Collaborates with the procurement team to audit and monitor suppliers' product quality performance, investigating quality-related non-conformances and evaluating alternative sourcing. 

Training:  Provides support to engineering, quality, and production, ensuring consistent application of quality techniques. Foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Continuous Improvement: Identifies opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains and contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Applies Lean manufacturing tools and participate in Kaizen events to implement sustainable change. 

New Product Development (NPD) Release: Participates in Product Quality Planning, collaborating with engineering and production teams to approve products for release based on comprehensive quality evaluations and tests. Assists in performing DOE and FMEA’s to select test criteria or quality controls for subassemblies and final product.

Performs additional tasks / projects as required.

Position Qualifications

B.S. in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred.  ASQ Certified Quality Engineer a plus.

3-5 years of experience in quality assurance within an electro-mechanical product environment. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong understanding of electro-mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2015).

Proficiency in using various testing and measurement equipment for electro-mechanical products. Experience in conducting performance or reliability testing is a plus.

Strong organizational, communication, leadership, continuous improvement, and critical thinking skills. 

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience in problem solving techniques; Root Cause – 5 Why, DFMEA, Lean 6s

Proven history of analyzing data and statistics to improve industrial processes.

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with colleagues at all levels.

Ability to write detailed work instructions, reports, business correspondence, and effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and/or external sources. 

Physical Requirements/Abilities (If necessary)

While performing the duties of this role, the employee will regularly sit for extended periods; stand talk and hear in person and by telephone; and use hands to operate, finger, handle and feel office equipment and documentation; and reach with hands and arms. Hands and fingers frequently perform repetitive motion. Occasionally the employee will use arms and hands to balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, stoop or bend and lift up to 25 pounds.  This position requires close vision and the ability to adjust focus.


Controls Engineer

Salary Range: $75,000 - $94,000

Department: Engineering

Reports To: Manager of Engineering

Status: Full time, exempt

Position Summary

The Controls Engineer designs systems of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls for machines and equipment, utilizing knowledge of electrical engineering, PLC programming, and diagrams and schematics.  This position includes the support of the development of new products, pre-sale technical support, product application inquiries, and quality control.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Provides guidance and direction for other members of the electrical and controls engineering team.
  • Plans and programs logic control system for functions such as sequence, temperature, pressure, flow, voltage, current and timing.
  • Illustrates and describes the concept, installation and maintenance details of component functionality and system sequence of operation.
  • Reviews schematics with customer's representatives to answer questions during pre- and post-sale of product.
  • May confer with assembler and wirer to resolve problems regarding building of controls systems.
  • Prepares all documentation necessary for production as well as customer support. (proposals, quotes, drawings, BOM, schematics, manuals, technical instructions, etc.).
  • Works with suppliers and outside engineering consultants to resolve technical and supply issues, improve system features and capabilities; investigates sources of special equipment, material or devices. Obtains quotes, prepares requisitions and qualifies supplier components.
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC controls systems and communication protocols 
  • 5 – 7 years of position related experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have good mathematical and electro-mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with, and the ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form to internal and external customers and to practice discretion when communicating appropriate information to a variety of audiences.
  • Effectively performs assignments, often with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with MS Office 365 for drafting proposals, creating tables, charts, and inputting data into templates.
  • Knowledge of specifications, codes, and standards used in commercial HVAC and datacenter industry such as UL, ETL, NEC, IEC, NFPA, etc.
  • Electro-mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with components, piping systems, pumps, motors, controls, or other industrial equipment. 
  • Experience with liquid- and air-cooling systems for commercial buildings and datacenter systems a plus.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks is a plus.

  • Office environment with minimal lifting of thirty pounds or less. 
  • May require navigating stairs and maneuvering through the plant environment for guided tours.
