Motivair ChilledDoor® to Demo High-Efficiency Rack Cooling System at Industry Event
Motivair Corporation, based in Buffalo, New York, a global leader in mission critical cooling chillers for data centers and manufacturer of the ChilledDoor® Rack Cooling System, announces it will exhibit at DCD Enterprise, March 14-15, at the Marriott Marquis, Times Square, New York (Booth #105).

At Motivair’s booth (#105), will be a complete ChilledDoor® Rack Cooling System “demo door,” which is used to cool densities up to 75 kW per rack. The ChilledDoor® has been uniquely designed to eliminate “hot spots” in a data center by removing 100% of the server heat at its source for a fraction of the cost per kW. Using minimum fan power, it will “actively” respond to dynamic workloads assuring ultimate operator flexibility.
For use in greenfield, co-location or retrofit data centers, today’s most advanced, high-efficiency data centers and computer systems are using ChilledDoor® technology as it requires little infrastructure change for initial operation and future growth. It offers a minimally invasive deployment (able to be used with any standard industry server rack, with or without raised flooring, no retrofitting replacement of servers required), which ultimately reduces overall costs – both upfront and when deploying additional compute.
Expo attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about other products and services designed to meet the needs of data centers, such as Motivair’s Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) and maintenance and support services. Motivair released its MCD 4U model late last year as an in-rack alternative. With a cooling capacity of 80 kW (with ChilledDoor®) and 105 kW (with other IT computer systems), the MCDU 4U is ideal for smaller IT deployments, areas with space constraints, or to address hot spots in air-cooled data centers.
Representing Motivair at the event will be Regional Sales Directors Kevin Werely and Pete Peresie.
