On March 1, 2008 Motivair released the new MSC water-cooled scroll chillers, covering a capacity range from 15 through 60 tons. Standard refrigerant is R407C, with available options for R-22 and R-134a.

The MSC chillers are completely packaged chillers for commercial and process cooling applications. 15 to 30 ton models have 2 compressors in one circuit, while 40 to 60 ton models have 4 compressors in two circuits. Standard microprocessor controls allow the compressors to be staged for maximum flexibility.

All models feature high efficiency hermetic scroll compressors with proven reliability and low noise. Shell & tube evaporators & condensers are standard, with ASME stamp available on larger models.

Available options include: Heat Recovery, compressor noise suppression enclosure, hot gas bypass valve, integrated storage tank and circulation pump.

Heat recovery is available via high temperature water-cooled condensers, or additional series-flow shell & tube heat exchangers to suit the application.

NEMA 4 control panel includes interlocked disconnect switch and microprocessor controller.
